TAMUT! English YouTube Channel
Dr. Corrine Hinton and Corinne Billings have developed a YouTube Channel predominantly for folks teaching composition, but certainly useful in other regards.
Stealing from an email announcing it many, many moons ago...
I write to share good news and a potential new resource for you. Over the couple of months, Corinne Billings has been working with me to enhance our online composition courses, starting with English 340: Advanced Expository Writing. One goal of this project has been to create a more TAMUT-centered experience for our online composition students, by developing institution- and course-specific resources.
I’m happy to announce that one deliverable is the creation of the English @ TAMUT YouTube channel, which currently houses 17 videos Corinne has developed. These videos are, in many ways, specific to the content of English 340 (as they should be); however, some of the videos are more broadly writing focused and could be a potential resource for your own students. For example, we’ve included a video on how to format a document in APA as well as one in MLA. Also, there’s a video on understanding genre and the rhetorical situation.
I want to applaud Corinne for her prior and current achievements on this project, as she continues her work on enhancing our ENGL 1301 online course as well.
